Greenville, SC | July 27, 2011 — Elmore Goldsmith, PA, a Greenville based law firm focusing in the areas of construction law, surety law and complex litigation, is excited to welcome Alex E. Wolcott and Brittany A. Krupica as summer associates. The summer associates program is designed to give graduate law students first-hand experience in a law firm setting.
“We are excited for both Brittany and Alex to join our team this summer,” says L. Franklin Elmore. “We selected both summer associates from a competitive pool of applicants based on their industry knowledge and understanding. We feel the summer associates will help supplement the Elmore team as we offer them real-world experience.”
A law student at the University of South Carolina, Alex Wolcott received a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech where he gained first-hand experience as an industrial engineering consultant at Walmart and a senior consultant for Manhattan Associates, Inc. Wolcott is also actively involved in the community as a volunteer for Push America’s Journey of Hope and Gear Up Florida where he raised over $14,000 in corporate and personal sponsorships for children with disabilities.
“I am excited to work with the team at Elmore Goldsmith as a summer associate,” says Wolcott. “This opportunity is unique in that I will be able to learn from the innovative solutions they provide their clients in the construction industry.”
Brittany Krupica received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both ecological justice and French studies from Wheaton College (MA) and now studies comparative law at the University Of San Diego School Of Law. In addition, Krupica spent time studying law at Harvard University and the University of Cambridge, UK where she was a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar. In addition to her educational background and knowledge of environmental law, Krupica has gained professional legal experience as mediation coordinator and legal assistant to senior partner at Huerta and Associates and as a paralegal to senior partner at Richard Buxton Solicitors in Cambridge, UK among other positions.
“Being able to work with the experienced attorneys at Elmore Goldsmith will increase my knowledge of construction law as well as aid in my future endeavors,” says Krupica. “I look forward to using my experience to help Elmore Goldsmith as well as learn as much as possible from the attorneys.”
